The purpose of the "MD Mustangs" website is to provide a valuable
resource to the motorsports community, and a means of sharing
information.
MD Mustangs (Maryland Mustangs) is created to promote a motorsports lifestyle, by sharing information and bringing together racers from all forms of motorsports... especially Ford Mustang/Cobra owners. We engage in a variety of activities ranging from track events, schools, autocross, cruises, garage parties (you know, where you get suckered into helping someone pull their motor), car shows, dyno events... people who care a lot about modifying their car and helping others modify their car so it performs to its highest potential in either the quarter mile, road race or HPDE.
You may notice that some of the information is about race cars, racing, and performance
modifications which apply to a wide variety of makes and models. However, most of the focus is on the SN95 Mustang/Cobra, as well as the FOX, SN197, and Vintage chassis. Engine information is intended to cover the pushrod and modular Ford engines.
With permission from the authors, we have recently added the entire "Red Hot Venom" collection of tech-tips and articles by David Simmons... for a more drag-racing centered theme, we also have Joe Lynch's 1999 Cobra articles. Others include the entire "newsletter" collection by Mark Ortiz (Racecar Engineering magazine feature contributor), articles by David Vizard (engine guru and multi time publisher), lectures by the "Performance Professor" Jim McFarland, by Don Terrill (former NASCAR engine builder), and others.
For years, many of us all throughout the country have relied on Randy Stinchcomb for great prices on OEM Ford parts,he was also very active on Modular Depot as well as a few other sites. We're very lucky in that he's local here at Liberty Ford, and you can also communicate with him in the forum. Encourage him to get his car back on the track.
